The CoachWise Equipped Programme™

Comprehensive Equipment to Lead Coaching Unassisted
 

In brief ....


CoachWise Equipped™ is the only training program in Poland after which individuals comply with all academic criteria (hours of coaching sessions and Mentor Coaching) necessary to take the International Coach Federation ACC level examination.

CoachWise Equipped™ is a comprehensive, intensive and practical training program equipping individuals to lead coaching sessions unassisted and use their coaching skills in practice.

The 6-month program consists of:

  • 9 days of training sessions,
  • 3 types of telephone classes (16 hrs)
  • 2 observed coaching sessions with an experience coach

which gives up to 100 of ICF accredited hours.

After completing the program participants take a written and oral examination to receive CoachWise Equipped™ Certificate. To take the exam one must complete the CoachWise Equipped™ program and lead 50 hours of coaching.


Who is CoachWise Equipped™ directed to?


The program is directed to individuals:

• who are planning to use coaching in organization/ team
• ready to be “clients” during the training workshop
• interested in professional and personal development

Participation Outcomes


The training program gives:

During this training workshop participants develop key CoachWise™ skills:


• Understanding what the coaching is and what it is not (compared with other development supporting methods)
• Building relation in which both coach and client are equal partners
• Active and brave questioning
• Attentive listening and observation of facts, motives, beliefs, emotions
• Sharing observations and reflections
• Supporting clients by using their resources, knowledge and experiences
• Knowledge about ICF ethical guidelines.


Parts of CoachWise Equipped™


CoachWise Equipped™ consists of:
 

Three training workshops:


• Vision and goal coaching; working with values; creating partnership - 3 days
• Client’s systems and structures; Working with limiting beliefs; Emotional Intelligence – 3 days
• Coaching as a change process; coaching in a difficult situation; coach’s personal leadership – 3 days

Training session will be organized every 5-7 weeks. In between, participants will take part in:


Supervision Sessions / Mentor Coaching - 2 series

Observed coaching sessions take place during a telephone meeting of a coach and client and an experienced coach-supervisor. The coach runs a 30 min session and afterwards receives a comprehensive feedback from the coach-supervisor and his/her skills are evaluated on a special evaluation form. The full session with feedback lasts up to 1.5 hours.

 

Learning Labs – moderates telephone classes, which deal with one of the “powerful questions” – a form of group coaching around one question – 1 hour class – up to 8 hours in total

 

Coaching Pub – moderated telephone classes, during which participants bring their own topics, use moderator’s and their own experience and knowledge - 1 hour class – up to 8 hours in total

 

Live Coaching Series – moderated telephone classes, whose main goal is to give the participants the experience of coaching as a complete process, not separate sessions. The series consist of 4 observed coaching sessions of the same coach and same client every 2-3 weeks. Usually sessions last between 30 and 45 minutes, which upon completion are group discussed – 1.5 hour class – up to 6 hours in total.


Program Leaders


All program units are led by ICF credentialed coaches.

Training programs and observed coaching sessions are led by coaches holding a credential of ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) or ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC). This means that the leaders are experienced coaches with a lot of practice and have led 2,500 hours of coaching (Master Certified Coach) or 750 hours of coaching (Professional Certified Coach).

Training workshops are deliver in English and interpreted by an experienced interpreter. In addition, groups are supported by two or three assistants speaking the language of the host country.

Program groups consist of 12 to 24 participants. The size of the group is to give the opportunity to establish close relations with leaders and co-participants and enable great dynamics and diversity.

Telephone classes are run by coaches holding a credential of ICF Associate Certified Coach, which means at least 100 hours of coaching sessions.


Applied Development Methods


To satisfy different learning styles the program makes us of different teaching methods, such as:

 

  •  Coaching/model/skills demonstrations by an experienced coach
  •  Observable coaching sessions
  •  Coaching dyads and triads
  •  Demonstrations using films on DVD
  •  Moderated discussions
  •  Exercises/ workshops also telephone classes
  •  Short presentations – presenting ways of thinking, theories, perspectives, tools


Completing the Program and CoachWise™ Certificates


To complete the program and obtain CoachWise Certificate participants must pass the final examination. The certification proves that its holder completed the coach training program in line with the methodology accredited by the International Coach Federation, knows the CoachWise™ model, principles and tools, ICF ethical guidelines and can apply knowledge in his/her work with clients.
